What is Kids’ Chance of Wisconsin?
Kids’ Chance of Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization, created to provide educational opportunities and scholarships for the children of workers seriously injured or killed on the job.
Our mission as an organization is to provide educational scholarships to the children of Wisconsin workers who have been seriously, catastrophically, or fatally injured in work-related accidents.
Kids’ Chance of Wisconsin believes that, through our work, we can help make a significant difference in the lives of all children affected by workplace injury, by helping them to achieve their education goals.
• Children are society’s most valuable resource.
• We have an obligation to give children the tools they need to succeed in life.
• Access to higher education ensures that children have the necessary skills to be successful in the workplace.
• Investing in our children’s future provides them the opportunity to make a difference in their own life, and the lives of others.
How does this work?
Students whose parent’s on-the-job injury resulted in death or serious disabilities and have been financially affected are eligible. Each applicant must meet the approval of the academic selection committee.
All funds raised support the children of Wisconsin workers. Scholarships are supported by donations from individuals, groups, organizations, companies, foundations, and from special activities organized by volunteers for Kids’ Chance of Wisconsin.
